Good food or beautiful food? Eating real food means eating food grown in a way that respects the environment and processed while preserving nutritional values.
Let us first ask ourselves what is food?
Food is defined as any substance or set of substances in any state of matter and structure, assimilated by a living organism for its own nutrition, then everything we eat and drink for the purpose of physical sustenance. In rich societies like ours, food is no longer a primary need of man but a commodity like the others, and, as such, is part of the “image society” where appearing is worth more than being. Therefore defining a food "beautiful" means reducing it to a visual object, without considering the organoleptic and nutritional aspects.
What is the truth?
The philosopher Feuerbach asserted: "We are what we eat". In reality, food affects not only the physical but also the conscience and the way of thinking. In fact, the food we ingest through an alchemical process is transformed and becomes part of our blood, of our cells. It is assumed that if we ingest Food that is not Food (Junk Food) our body becomes ill with so-called "modern diseases" (Cardiovascular Diseases, Tumors and Intolerances / Allergies). This strong correlation between food and health was already known 2,500 years ago by the father of medicine, Hippocrates, who thus summed up his thought "Let food be your medicine and medicine be your food".
How do you make good food?
First of all we start from an "agricultural act": selecting foods of excellent quality, products with processes and criteria that respect the environment and local traditions, favor biodiversity and a fair and sustainable agriculture. Subsequently they are transformed through a "gastronomic act" producing Good, Clean and Fair food. For this reason, considerable attention is paid to the agricultural phase, cultivating naturally and transforming it through the search for ancient recipes and the careful study of transformation processes that preserve nutritional values and organoleptic characteristics. Attention to customer health and high quality are the guidelines of my business.
