Also for this year our Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Peranzana mono varietal has been recognized as one of the oils of excellence by the 15th National Review of mono-variety Oils.
The 2017/2018 olive-growing year was characterized by excessive drought which made it difficult to produce olives with the right ratio between the pulp and the hazelnut.
The extra virgin olive oil that is made from these olives, has some hints of wood and dry and is due to excessive extraction of tannins from the core.
Our company, in order to avoid this inconvenience, has irrigated regularly and in just the right quantity, in order to have a well-nourished fruit capable of expressing an oil of excellence.
Thanks to what we did in the field and subsequently undergoing transformation, we managed to produce an oil of excellence and this is also recognized by the 15th National Review of the mono-variety Oils, which gives us a score of 7.4 / 10 and for this reason will be included in the Catalog “single-variety oils 2018” as an oil of excellence.
Below is the sensory card of our oil.
Peranzana – Puglia region. Sensory profile: medium olive fruity intensity, with scent of grass, artichoke, al‐mond and tomato; medium intensity of pungency and bitter taste.
